Monday 🌖 Open Thread: Distracted by 2A

How are things going for you tonight? In the middle of typing a post that required a little thought, I received a text from younger child's school that they were in "soft lockdown" for the rest of the day due to a reported weapon on the premises. "Situation is under control", but no one's allowed in or out. This won't make the news I hope.

Tsuki is a libertarian but uncertain what a 'well-regulated milita' is. Lumi is trying to find where her lost thought went.

Depressingly, the younger's reaction when she gets home will probably be a shrug and oh well biz as usual, just like older kid's when there's been a lockdown. Both kids have had a school day interrupted by a potential gun crisis this year. USA! I'm a little preoccupied ATM.

On to lighter topics...

Shadows into Light is probably the worst font here, but it's 10X worse in pink with a deep blue background.

What's up? Read anything good lately? Seen anything worthwhile? I've been (re)watching George Romero's movies because The Last of Us made me nostalgic for old zombie flicks. Watched The Land of the Dead and it's still entertaining. Seems like The Dead movies come full circle with this one, Night of the Living Dead having been inspired by Matheson's I Am Legend, with the dead starting to show signs of true consciousness and rising up against the oppressors (us - we're the boogeyman in the end), a Black hero in Night and a Black zombie leader in Land

Watched The Amusement Park too. Whoo boy. Next up are Diary of the Dead and Martin. Over to you.
