Does anyone else have a movie they associate strongly with Christmas, but is not at all appropriate to the season? For me it's Pan's Labyrinth. It's definitely an odd pandemic hangover because I watched it for the first time on Christmas Eve 2020 after signing off from the family Zoom. 

It's not a complete stretch as a holiday movie- there's magic, a prophesy about a child, immortality and resurrection. Maybe it's more Easter oriented.

Time to break out the holiday sweaters! It's Ginaaa's Cosmo models the latest winter fashion.

In case you're new here, favorites are chosen by one of the Snout Selectors (facw, k2b, Hannibal, and Best Coast), entirely on our own whimsy. WHIMSY! However, in the interest of solidarity, we try to select one dog picture and one cat picture (minimum!) each week. Other pets will also, of course, be considered. We love all your rats, bunnies, ferrets, and other furry, feathery, and finny pals. WE WILL NEVER DISCRIMINATE AGAINST CUTE. 

The rabbits in Hannibal's neighbourhood are fluffing up to stay warm. 

Over at Kiltedpadre's home, Cornbread is embracing the season by helping others.

CTSenVy's Critter isn't impressed by the holiday to-do.

I've been hearing a lot about this cookbook.

The local indigenous restaurants were hit pretty hard by the pandemic. There was one called Nish Dish that I liked but the chef reduced the hours a lot and moved to catering due to the general disruption.

Today in 1985 Microsoft released Windows 1.0. It cost 99 dollars US, and came on 5, 5.25 floppy disk. No solitaire, but it did come with the game Reversi along with now normal things like Notepad, Paint, and Calculator.
