Emotional Support Peacock

Of Course the Emotional-Support Peacock Turned Away by United Is From South Florida
So this week, American Airlines, United, Delta and most other major carriers no longer accept "emotional support animals" on their airlines (they will accept service animals for people with disabilities). And you know, I don't blame them.  Part of the trouble is that there is no regulation or criteria about who needs an emotional support animal so people took advantage. The nadir was that lady who wanted to bring her emotional support peacock. Apparently, she lives with this peacock in her loft in Brooklyn and says he doesn't like riding public transportation and probably was worried about him being left alone. The real issue is that Peacocks shouldn't live in New York City lofts.

She's not the only person who has tried to bring an unconventional animal on an airplane.  There was that lady who wanted to bring her turkey, "Easter" onto a plan. Jodie Smalley said "Having Easter with me was a source of positive presence. She was someone to focus on if my emotions became too much," adding,
"The flight we went on was only an hour and a half long. During the flight, she was quiet and well behaved. She had a diaper on from a site that specializes in bird diapers and it works really well!" Another who brought a miniature horse on the plane.

Now those days are over and it reminds me about how people ruin things for everyone because they just can't not take advantage. It still rankles that people (probably from out of state) abused LL Bean's return policy so much that they reversed it famously. It used to be that you could return anything at anytime and get your money back. What a great guarantee. What they didn't count on is scamming assholes who'd go to consignment stores and find used merchandise and return that for cash.  Anyway, it's the same energy.

Speaking of entitlement and emotional support animals, here are my emotional support animals, who were wondering why I was up until 3AM watching certification.  Yeah. Man.
