Wanted to get some winter shots from one of my favorite views. I had hoped that enough time had passed since the blizzard that the trail would be packed down from other hikers.  I was wrong. 

Beginning of trail was like I had hoped but as soon as the uphill started others must've given up.

Hill is a difficult enough climb without trudging through 18" of snow.

But I huffed and puffed my way to the top.

Glad I didn't turn back.

This is the first year since I've started hiking that we've gotten snow consistently enough that I've even thought about getting snowshoes. I know if I get them we'll never get snow again.
