Monday OT - Books and Stuff

Happy day! Read anything good lately? Hopeful you'll list books, but it's 2022, so feel free to post readings from whichever medium you want, be it physical books, audio, mags, ebooks, twitter, tea leaves, tarot, zodiac, etc.

Simone Simon, Cat People, 1942, Jacques Tourneur. Far superior to the '82 remake. Sorry, Paul, you terrible lay.

Couple quotes from current readings:

This is the only story they know me by in Buenos Aires and Cairo.

~ Howard Waldrop, regarding his story Dr. Hudson's Secret Gorilla, a tale about a man whose brain is transplanted into the head of an ape. From Howard Who?

Paul, I always fuck my directors. And with you it was difficult.

~ Nastassja Kinski to Paul Shrader, on the set of Cat People, at least according to John Milius. From Easy Riders, Raging Bulls by Peter Biskind, a book that makes SQRL feel dirty. At least the film had lots of nudity and a Sisters of Mercy David Bowie song. The song, like the movie, is not excellent:

Any memorable lines or images from things you've read lately?

Hope Monday was better than expected.
