As we've entered a complete Era Of Blaurgh, I'm sure we all have something to bemoan, belittle, or just plain get off our chests. Blaurgh away!

Monday Night OT Is All About Movies

Good evening BT. Somehow I've (re)watched enough movies this year to come up with 25* I would've paid money to watch in the theater. Let's blame garbage weather and COVID-19 as opposed to general idleness on this writer's part. I'll break them down by category cuz that's what I do.

Welcome to the weekly opinion thread. We all have our own feelings and thoughts about things, why not share them?

Sunday sunset OT

I had a whole plan for this post, but the weekend derailed me, so enjoy this baby kiwi bird being cajoled not to fall asleep in its plate instead.

Good morning, all you peeps, and welcome to the last week of June.  I got nothin', but here's a list of charitable orgs that are there to help with abortion legal defense, transport and access:

This light is at the bottom of the tunnel. Nothing like loading a carriage with tons of slate and rolling it down a sharp incline.

Friday Evening Post

 Good evening.

Writing this on Thursday evening, but I predict I'm tired this evening, too. What are the plans?

Fur Face Friday

It's National Take Your Dog to Work Day. But by the powers vested in me by the internet, I declare it to be International Take Your Animal Pal to Work Day!

Wednesday Nite OT Chatapalooza

OK, seriously working on that essay I gotta do and staring/listening at the laundry machines and clothes piles moving from 'dirty' to 'baskety-clean'. Maybe not so seriously; I'll be seeking distraction here a lot of the time. How'd Wednesday go for everyone?

Good morning.

We’re having a heck of a time waking up on time around here these days. How is it going for you?

Monday Evening Open Thread and Slammed Doors

I do enjoy a dramatic exit. In fiction anyway. Do you have any favorites from entertainment or history? How about ones you've personally witnessed or maybe even participated in?

We've all seen this one right? Here's a hint:

Food for thought

Welcome to our weekly discussion thread. Every Monday we all weigh in on a different part of life and compare our feelings about it.

Sunday evening OT

Male beta fish building bubble nest.

As noted in the morning thread, it's a busy month for celebrations. Happy Fathers Day to SQURL and everyone celebrating. Happy Juneteenth! Happy upcoming National Indigenous Peoples Day to everyone in Canada who kicked it off at a powwow this weekend. The solstice is coming up too, so very happy sunshine and longest days of the year to those in the north, and happy soon-to-be-longer days to everyone in the south.

Duke Leto from Dune should probably also be on this Mary Sue list. I started watching it last night, and enjoying it so far. I've never read the book or seen the 1984 film, so I'm coming into it with very little knowledge of the story. All I knew was there were giant sandworms.
Kind of going on a tangent here. How is/ was your weekend?

Fur Face Friday!

Hi all, we've made it to Friday and the Fur Faces are here to get us to the weekend!

Let's check out the best from last week!

Monday the 13th OT at Night

Find a cool, shady spot in your home and survive the blistering heat this week, ok? Current book (Well, one of the five actually, each one at roughly 20 - 25% read. Yeah, it's one of those weeks) in hand is:

The author is smart and funny. The main character is fascinating and utterly unlikable. But relatable too. All the advantages of being young and white, pretty and fairly wealthy, the only thing she wants is to sleep and not think about anything. Unlike Holden Caulfield, who walks all over town bugging everybody, people keep bugging her. Especially her best friend Reva. Not at all a pleasant read but riveting in the horribleness of everything and everybody. I might have LOL'd a couple times. I highlighted some sections which I'll probably regret later.

Take me back to the future
