Definitely a time & place for folks to express what's on their minds / hearts.
I have the assignment of reading the "to everything there is a season" chapters & verses from Ecclesiastes at the memorial (and as a result will be ducking in & out this evening) so that feels extra apt.
A few thoughts from other folks keeping track of this moment in history

^^ empathy & validation from an attorney & Constitutional scholar
(if you have yet to pick up his book "A Black Guy's Guide to the Constitution", now would be a good time)
^^ when those of us who urge haste sound impatient w/others who feel mighty slow finally reaching the same conclusions we do about the extent to which our collective rights are in peril, this is a contextual reason why -- this is the speed at which those who would DESTROY our rights are moving
^^ Justices Kagan & Sotomayor will (of course) be worth reading on this
^^ since we can all improve at dismantling the things these authoritarians write so we can demolish their mess w/presented w/the chance - a Tweet-length tutorialette at how to parse so-called legal "reasoning" that is logically inconsistent
(I maintain my position that when any of these fascists hands down a so-called "opinion" the totality of their "reasoning and analysis" is both essentially and consistently "because we feel like it", which is NOT the way legitimate courts are supposed to do these things)
