It's been said that having people over to visit is good motivation for cleaning, so I've been puttering today, doing some deep cleaning; the tops of kitchen cupboards, the cupboard doors, ornaments on open shelves, and shredding some more papers. If I do just a bit every day, it should be in some kind of decent shape when my friends visit next week.
