Re-upped the Criterion subscription. They seem to do "Noirvember" and "Christmas Noir" and various other noir-related collections every year around this time. I'm excited since I haven't watched even half of them:
Columbia Noir
There's an Ida Lupino collection and Queersighted: Queer Noir too, in which several titles in their other noir collections are also represented. I'll be watching these instead of the news, thank you very much. I mean, there's a lot of sexism and beating up of broads and dames in noir, but it's fiction. Besides, in well more than half of them, the brute gets what he deserves, which is a lot more than in real life.
