2-Zdee Nightie OT

OK, so now Australia has autumn'd backward clockwise, so I hope this posts at the right time and not too addoly (yet again). If so, I'll readjust for the next ... Anyway, enough about UpsideDownLand (unless anyone else in the class has something to add). How did everyone's Tuesday go? C'mon, spill.

Monnight Orphan Tread - On the Origin of SQRL's Current Webtime Cognomen (am I using that word correctly?)

It's the last line of Jubilate Agno (Rejoice in the Lamb), fragment B by Christopher Smart, about his cat. Smart was confined in St. Luke's Hospital for Lunatics, London, in 1757, but he was released a year later, before being admitted again to some other asylum(s) for the next seven years, nobody knows where exactly. That's when and where he wrote this poem - his best known, and of course recognized well after his passing. Fortunately, "religious mania" was considered a "curable lunacy" and  he was able to die penniless in debtor's prison. Lucky devil. Such is the life of a poet.

no clear description of Jeoffry's appearance - I've always been partial to ginger toms.

Monday Morning Open Thread

Good morning, all the peoples. We've gone and run out of weekend again. Sorry about that.

It's the first week of April and the anniversary of MLK Jr's Beyond Vietnam speech, and that other thing that happened a year later that was total bullshit.

Y'all stop by and make your greetings for the day, and feel free to offer food for thought.
