The Cat-astrophe of being too close to the Sun

Are you having fun in 2021? Snowing here this morning.

Today is the ninth day of Christmas, which celebrates St Gregory Nazianzen and St Basil the Great, both from the 4th century. It is also the day when the Earth is closest to the Sun. Perihelion occurs at 8:30am EST (or 13:30 in real time). Any idea where the proxisolar point is today?

Naturally, the rotating world will not be observing that it is 55MPH Speed Limit Day. A shame on Motivation and Inspiration Day, no doubt focused on National Buffet Day, Swiss Cheese Day and Cream Puff Day.  Caturday is very well timed for Happy Mew Year. Also National Science Fiction Day and World Introvert Day.

KLF return to streaming.

Roasted Broccoli with Lemon and Pine Nuts. Don't forget to eat your crusts k2b.

Lockdown in a Hobbit Hole. Young lady at the old firm had a great story about backpacking in New Zealand. She and her pals pitched tent in the middle of the night and woke to find they were in the middle of the Lord of the Rings set.

Take it away, folks!
