This illustration below Don Cheadle's picture is from a lecture I'm trying to attend that feels as if it is defying erasure, in an era where another piece tells us how important cultural & heritage preservation are in pursuit of the mission to keep a ruthless genocidal wanna-be autocrat (AND HIS CRONIES & BENEFICIARIES) from wiping an entire people off the map.
Yet these (including the choice of the statement from Dr. Bunch) remain *all part of the same conversation* :
The “endurance” & “resilience” of Black women forced to endure public abuse with smiles needs to not be the “price of public advancement” any longer in this country or anywhere in this world (in case you missed it, the governments of European nations admitting White Ukrainian refugees are still denying that they have forcibly refused admission to African students and Black Ukrainian refugees even when they are caught on videotape doing it).
We are not Omelas.
