Is it Saturday yet?

I think I shot a pheasant the other day but haven't had a chance to check. Meanwhile I seem to have made a couple of friends who like carrots.

It's  local election time on Thursday but I won't get to vote. This seems to be a common problem in Wales. Just came across this news item about a Councillor facing his first election contest in 40 years.

At the time I was looking for an article about uncontested elections in my county.

As it happens, 28 of those seats are in Gwynedd which has 69 councillors in total. Most of the uncontested seats benefit Plaid Cymru but also include the Council's sole Liberal Democrat (though he won against a PC candidate last time round).
