Hope You Have a Very Gay Wednesday!

Good morning! How is June treating everyone?

Two young boys wearing t-shirts reading "Have a Gay Day" at the SF gay pride parade circa 1977

Please enjoy these images by photographer Ted Sahl from the San Francisco Gay Pride Parade circa 1978.

Woman marching with young man holding a sign reading "I love my gay son" SF pride parade circa 1977

Initially, I had said these were probably from 1977, but I can see a sign in the background of this one telling people to vote no on the Briggs Initiative. For more artwork from that event, here is a link.

This last one is a group of patron's from Maud's, which was one of the last lesbian bars in San Francisco for decades. It closed in 1989 and there is a documentary about it Last Call at Maud's, which I believe is available on Prime and possibly elsewhere.
