We're into the home stretch of the weekend, which means it's time for #SundayFishSketch !
While I was kayaking this week, I saw one of these guys swimming around on its ownsome. I didn't know this, but sometimes they get blown up this far north.
It was in shallow water over white sand, so I got a good look. The northern snakehead - an invasive species in North America - is star of not one, but multiple terrible horror movies including "Snakehead Terror" (2004), "Frankenfish" (2004), "Snakehead Swamp" (2014). Not exactly cinematic classics, as you might have guessed #SundayFishSketch pic.twitter.com/65khL2lWnK

More fish!
Miyazaki’s “Ponyo by the sea” has the best fish ever seen on any movie!

One of the many prehistoric fish seen is Dipnorhynchus, a Devonian lungfish. Quick doodle for #SundayFishSketch #sciart #paleoart pic.twitter.com/oNf18ZQfix
How's it going? For today’s #SundayFishSketch I decided to paint the #SpottedEagleRay from #FindingNemo! This tropical ray can have 2-6 venomous spines & can grow to have a wingspan of up to 3 metres, allowing them to actually leap out of the water! 💙#TeamFish #Watercolour #SciArt #SciComm pic.twitter.com/d3V9y1KdNp
