Good morning. Don't forget to say howdy. SQRL's not here, but the donkeys are, and they're listening. Tell them a good one.
The backyard is covered in wire mesh and straw to protect the sprouting grass. I've explained this to the kids before but every once in a while one of them will ask again.
To make it more comfortable for the donkeys to sleep on, I say.
But we don't have donkeys, they say.
This is very disappointing. We all know we have no donkeys. A better point would have been that donkeys would eat the straw, and donkeys sleep standing up anyway.
