Truth and justice - truth and justice are good
Someone made a comment about the fact that it's not Superman who's "changed" so much as "the people", referencing the Overton window ...
... but I feel like there's a whole lot to say about the fact that the copyright on this ^^ particular comic predates the passage of Brown v Board ... as well as the fact that the original Superman (please fact-check me on this, DC fans) flew in around 1938
Edi Gathegi has also been discussed as almost having stolen the movie -- which feels fitting given what happened to Darwin in X-Men First Class (and Apocalypse, which is still ... I just can't see writing a movie and having Oscar Isaac be willing to get in it as a centerpiece and then not really doing anything with him)

Dr. Stacey brings her usual fire in this week's history lesson
Lecture 4 is LIVE: Cotton, Rum, and Corpses: The Colonial Hustle That Built an Empire
and we'll put more of her pieces up in comments, because there's so much that she discusses in the Big B*stard of a Bill that it's easy to miss with all the chaos
Andrew Cotter commentated one of the Wimbledon Men's Semi-Finals and I am waiting to find out how (or even if) Olive & Mabel enjoyed the tournament
we're STILL getting fireworks around here - which I have to say feels a little bit ridiculous
