Happy New Years Eve Morning Open Thread

We've made it this far, just a handful of hours to go.  You got this!

Also for team Cat.

Couple of random New Years facts for you

  • Showing the New Year as a new born baby is a practice that dates back to the ancient Greeks who had parades to honor the God of Fertility and Wine representing Dionysus with a new born in a basket.
  • "Auld Lang Syne" is actually a remix (rewording) of a much older Scottish song "Old Long Syne"
  • Instead of having a ball drop Key West Florida has a giant shoe with Drag Queens bring in the new year.
  • Christmas Island is the first place to meet the new year.  American Samoa is the last.
  •  This will be the first year since World War 2 that Times Square will not be full with people.
  • The Space Shuttle never had a mission on New Year's Eve or New Year's Day over fears that the computer system wouldn't be able to handle the rollover into a different year.

That's all I got for now, have fun below.
