Sunday evening OT

The nighttime temperatures are definitely fall-like here.

Apparently my province has something callthe The Apple Pie Trail. Yes please!

How's it going, BT?

They don’t need to be taken with a fancy camera or works of art. Share any SFW photos you’ve taken with even the poorest of potatoes. Of course we love to see that arty stuff too.

Fur Face Friday

Hello and welcome to Fur Face Friday, where we soothe the savage breast with only slightly savage beasts. Last week’s precious little monsters made perfectly reasonable demands on us. This week they enjoyed the good life they deserve. Like Kiltedpadre’s Cornbread, who turned nine and had donuts!

A true snootful of nom.

The headache has been dealt with (drugs are good!), but it was a quiet day, all told.

How about everybody else?

Yup, we're getting closer to another week's end and we've probably had quite enough of our joy snatched by now. Go on ahead and blaurgh about it.

Thursday Morning Open Thread.

It was one little section in one store, but it definitely had snow frosted red and green decorations.  I'll give them December and a big chunk of November but let us have a spooky season.

It's supposed to be sunny and cool today, so maybe it's a good day to put more plants in the ground before it gets much colder. I've got about 14 more plants the should go in the ground before winter. We'll see.

Today is the day of the hearing about the latest laneway house; I won't be attending. There is a letter from their next door neighbours who are objecting to the size of the build, and I'm have some schadenfreude; it's all well and good when THEY want to put a laneway house in the the backyard, but when it comes to the property next door, and there will be people being able to see into their kid's bedroom, well that's DIFFERENT, donchya know!

How about everybody else?

Cary: “Just who do you think you are?”

Raymond: “Your brother. Or Frankenstein. Or maybe I’m Marilyn Monroe!”

Peter: “Drunk. Blind stinking drunk at 8:30 in the morning!”

Good morning, Balkers. This evening marks the autumnal equinox and then it’s officially fall!

Sunday Evening OT

How am I so tired at the end of the weekend? Probably not as tired as these swans with five teenaged corners.

I went to the Royal Ontario Museum with CodcoMom and CodcoSis this afternoon so I'm ready to sit for a bit.

How's it going, BT?

I had my chiro appointment, and I've been having an issue with the deltoid in my right arm; radiating pain if I try to bend it behind, like when I fasten a bra (ladies, you'll know the movement) or reach up to push back a curtain. She says that the problem is actually in the rotator cuff, which is pulling the deltoid, so she massaged that area so hard that I nearly threw up from the pain. I guess there's adhesions there. It feels a bit better, she says I should do pilates or weight training to strengthen the back muscles.

How about anybody else? Anybody else nearly throw up from pain?

We've almost made it through another week and it's time to get your *RWAARRR* ruhohwr out about all the things that need a good smashing. Go on 'head and blaurgh about it.

I'm having lunch with my friend who doesn't let me get a word in edgewise, but we are going to a nice French patisserie up the street, so I'll have a nice sandwich and pastry for dessert. They have some Basque pastries, which I want to try.

And I have to submit my statement about the variances that the owner of the prospective laneway house is asking.

We're halfway to the weekend!

Sunday evening OT

Yesterday I visited Niagara Falls on a bit of a whim.

There was a tree climbing competition for arborists at the Niagara Botanical Garden. Being an arborist looks like a very cool, very demanding job. I'm definitely questioning my career choices. I think being in a tree, hopefully by myself, would be an ideal way to spend the work day.
