This week’s topic: interesting trivia and conversational facts you know  

Not so much an opinion post, but I thought it’d make a good conversation starter. What random or fascinating facts and informative anecdotes do you have in your repertoire?

I’ll go first:

•Did you know that peacock calls sound like odd kitten-birds?

• Eggplants, tomatoes, cucumbers, and bananas are all berries

•Polar bears have black skin under their coats, and incidentally, their coats are not white, they’re CLEAR

• A pinch, a dash, and a smidgen all have official measures. A pinch is 1/16 tsp. A dash is 1/8 tsp. And finally, a smidgen comes out to 1/32 tsp.
