NEW BOOKS, OLD BANANAS – A Monday Night OT

Sci-fi/Speculative/Weird – the books anyway, the bananas should just get et. Not enough to make banana bread.

I'll get to these soonish. Currently  rereading The Fisherman by John Langan and partway through Man in His Time: The Best Science Fiction Short Stories of Brian Aldiss* reading In Praise of Shadows by Jun'ichirõ Tanizaki; a long essay or short book, depending on your copy. (It's a few weeks days ago I'm typing this, fyi) Maybe I should read more books with "Man" in the title. Hannibal's recommended The Milkman by Anna Burns a couple of times so perhaps that's next. Then we can discuss it like so:

SQRL
Hey, The Milkman is so weird. Amazing.
[Chris Farley sunglasses wow gif]
Hannibal
It really is.

SQRL
Yeah.
SQRL
Thanks.

Hannibal
You're welcome!

Won't that be awesome.

What's everyone reading these days? Or whatever. Chat away.

* Finished. The Fisherman was pretty good. Will I remember it this time? Who knows. There were some standouts in the Aldiss collection. Let me know if you've read his stories or novels.
