Meanwhile, here's a preview of the White House decorations and on the facing left there is President Obama's portrait by McCurdy (IINM, the one by Kehinde Wiley is in the National Gallery)
What I can't tell is whether that is a reproduction of the McCurdy portrait because CNN tells us that the Bidens had his official portrait positioned at the base of the main White House staircase but I have a hard time seeing that staircase from any angle in this room -- unless of course the photographer is standing on it -- so I'm guessing this is another room entirely -- but which one ...?

^^ several of the things I really enjoy about this Q are that I can sneak in a carol early and then also potentially argue discuss, w/any musicians who'd care to opine, whether the gentlemen of Take 6 who are singing in parallel canon with Ms Whitney are actually singing "co-lead" with her or not
