Spouse injured her foot and has been home all week. Coupled with certain scheduled days off from school for the kids, I haven't had much time to myself.

Ever notice how often sportsball coaches or politicians announce their retirement with some statement about "wanting to spend more time with my family"? Much rarer is the middle-age parent claiming they've dedicated way too much time and effort caring and providing for their family, and now it's time to go coach the home franchise to a Super Bowl victory.
