How's it going?
Behold a panoramic picture for your Thursday!

Hello and welcome to our weekly assemblage of adorableness, Fur Face Friday! As the seasons change, last week's comments were full of sweet faces for us to enjoy.

In case you're new here, favourites are chosen by one of the Snout Selectors (facw, k2b, Hannibal, leahaven, and myopicprophet), entirely on our own whimsy. WHIMSY! However, in the interest of solidarity, we try to select one dog picture and one cat picture (minimum!) each week. Other pets will also, of course, be considered. We love all your rats, bunnies, ferrets, and other furry, feathery, and finny pals. WE WILL NEVER DISCRIMINATE AGAINST CUTE.
I went a few weeks without a phone. It was glorious. Now I have a new cell, same as the old cell, and have to figure out how to turn off amber alerts which always go off in the middle of the night, usually about some white minivan in Rockford or Carbondale or some other location 50+ miles away. Alerts are important, sure, but I only have so much time for super heroics during my waking hours. I'm just not changing back into my tights, cape and cowl, again. I've already had my Ovaltine. Sorry.

If you're like me, in July of 2016, you felt some anxiety when Richard Thompson was trending. You experienced momentary relief when it turned out the former singer of Fairport Convention was fine, and then sadness when it became clear it was the cartoonist behind Cul De Sac who had passed. Complications from Parkinson's. You could see his hand had gotten shaky, and several cartoonist friends took over the daily strip for lengthy periods. Still a shock when he died.
Zut! I knew I forgot to do something before I left for my walk.

It's officially spring...I say "officially" because it's been, literally, spring off & on all winter. Welcome to the first "official" spring episode of Fur Face!
Last night, I dreamt I'd published a book and gotten a tepid review by Jonathan Lethem (Or Franzen. One of those crabby Jonathans who writes books and reviews them too) in the NYT. On the eve of release of the paperback edition, I was sent a copy. On the cover, it said "A TOUR DE FORCE!" – Jonathan Lethem, The New York Times Book Review, which I didn't remember him having written at all.

Good evening to those who observe. We just finished episode 13 of Twin Peaks, S.2. That's the one where Ben Horne snaps out of his delusional reenactment of the Civil War, Dick and Andy team up to steal Little Nicky's files from an adoption agency, Nadine brutalizes Mike and Hank, and Cooper and Truman end Jean Renault's international reign of terror with the help of David Duchovny in a dress. Meanwhile, Leo seems to have awakened from his catatonic state, uh-oh!
Had a looong drive with lots of rain, hail, snow and sleet, so no fun stops this time.
Feeling a little brain dead to be honest. How was your weekend? Between Pi Day and St. Patrick's day, been a good few days for holiday eating. Did anyone have anything special for the Ides of March?

Hi all, Friday is here! I have no theme for this week beyond... Fur Faces! Let's look at last week!
First up, Hannibal is getting a new nephew, say hi to Scotty:
My next door neighbour and I are hoping to do a bit of a walk-about this afternoon in aid of our neighbourhood profile for the residents association, and then following up with booze and chips, so I may not be around to comment, so talk amongst yourselves.
