OMG! I just realised that I have a slice of banana bread (from yesterday, when I bought that pupcup for Boone at Starbucks), vanilla ice cream and salted caramel liqueur! Guess what's for dessert tonight?!

The article is much to long to post the whole thing, so I am posting just the link;

Today is Boone's Gotcha Day! A year ago today, I went to St. Catharines and picked him up. He was stil called Hiram at the time. I'm taking him out for a pupcup at Starbucks later.
Still cold and breezy here. I may have to do some shopping today.
How about everyone else?
They don’t need to be taken with a fancy camera or works of art. Share any SFW photos you’ve taken with even the poorest of potatoes. Of course we love to see that arty stuff too.
Good evening.
Walton Goggin's New York Lodge. Haven't watched the whole video at the time of this posting, but so far I very much agree with this tastes.
Welcome to the Valentine's Day edition of Fur Face Friday! Take a look at all of last week's sweethearts.

I've shovelled several times over the last 24 hours, and my back is killing me. And more to come in a day or two.
Today in 1866 Jesse James robs a bank for the first time. His gang takes 15,000 dollars from Clay County savings in Liberty, Missouri.
We're expecting a big dump to start this afternoon and through until Friday. I'm glad I don't need to go anywhere. I guess it will hit kristinbytes at some point too. I know B/C Codco will be hoping for a snow day.
I wonder if squirrel will ever return?
If you're cheering for a sprotsball team today, best wishes for a big win.
What else are you up to on this (possibly) snowy day? It looks like most of us are in for some messy weather.
In Halifax, they're organizing a Retro Film Festo for all the local indie films that are basically out of print. Which movie(s) would you add to a Retro Festo where you are?

Good evening.
There are subtitles, so don't forget to turn them on to fully understand these instructions.
Hello and welcome to Fur Face Friday, where we invest in the power of cute endorphins. Last week, the critters who warm our hearts were doing warm things for winter. This week, they were just full of nope.

Got my hair trimmed and picked up some groceries on the way home; I always pick up too much because of sales, and it's bulky stuff, like bagged popcorn. But I don't have to go out again for a couple of days.
Here is a link to a Project Gutenberg book by the C.I.A., called Simple Sabotage Field Manual. Ag mentioned it a few days ago, but I'm giving it it's own post.
https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/26184?ref=404media.co
Here's a summary from Project Gutenberg;
"Simple Sabotage Field Manual" by United States. Office of Strategic Services is a historical publication written during the early 1940s, amid World War II. This manual acts as a guide for ordinary civilians to conduct simple acts of sabotage against enemy operations without the need for specialized training or equipment. Its main topic revolves around promoting small, accessible forms of resistance that could collectively disrupt the enemy's war effort. The manual outlines various strategies and techniques for citizens to engage in sabotage that could be executed discreetly and with minimal risk. It provides specific suggestions for targeting transportation, communication, and industrial facilities to create delays and inefficiencies in enemy operations. The manual emphasizes the power of many individuals acting independently to contribute to a larger campaign of disruption, encouraging simple acts such as misplacing tools, delaying communication, or damaging equipment with household items. Overall, the "Simple Sabotage Field Manual" serves as a unique historical artifact that illustrates grassroots resistance efforts and the belief in the collective power of ordinary people during wartime. (This is an automatically generated summary.)
I have nothing planned for the day. It's another cold and icy day here, and I don't have to go out for anything, so I'll be sticking around home except to walk the dog.
How about everyone else?
And a fun fact about axolotls delivered entertainingly.
Just a quickie, for parents of school age children, and people who know school age children.
Consider buying textbooks and other literary material that align with your values, because with the threats to the public school systems, in terms of both funding and what may be taught, those may not be available in the near future, or in the long term. Want Black history lessons? Paleontology? Biology? LGBTQ+ material? Maybe buy some books for various age levels while you still can.
Try sites like Amazon for used textbooks.
Support your local library and encourage them to buy scientifically correct material, Black history and LGBTQ+ material, and help defend them when they do.
In the future, polar bears will be made entirely of plastic and powered by AI. Probably?
