Thursday evening open thread

I went over to my neighbour's new house to let her dogs out for a pee, and they were all "Nah, we're good". Neighbour suggested carrying the pug out, and get a cookie for the big guy, and then they all followed me out and did their business. It's about 3 1/3 miles round trip, so I got some steps in today.

I volunteered to get a pie in the face for our Terry Fox School Run fundraising on the 25th. The kids can buy tickets for the chance to be chosen to pie a staff member. As you can imagine, tickets are hotter than labubus.

It's probably the one event, and one Canadian figure, that every Canadian can agree on.

Thursday evening open thread

Winter coat has been acquired (Winners). I hope it's warm enough, but it's too early to tell. It seems a bit puffy and is loose enough if I don't belt it, that I can put sweaters on underneath. It does have faux fur trim around the hood, which I don't care for, but that's a small thing, if it's warm enough. I will have to have the cuffs turned up.

This is it, although it's longer on me, and the belt sits higher on my waist;

The dentist thinks that the problem is most likely gum recession, although he thinks that the tooth is on its last legs, but it's not quite ready for a root canal yet. I was kind of hoping to get it completely dealt with; even though nobody actually wants a root canal, I'd just as soon get it over with sooner rather than later.
