Bunday evening 🐰T

A little swing, anyone?

Swing Dance Leeds: Pioneers of Lindy Hop

You can imagine how the Moms for Liberty and their ilk would've reacted to Lindy hopping kids.

Strange to think swing is nearly 100 years old.

Sunday evening OT

While I was out for a walk today, I saw what looked like a smoky cloud. Sure enough, there's a wildfire in a community about a 30 minute drive away. They've been evacuated, but already 10 houses are gone. There's an air quality warning, but it doesn't feel that bad yet.

Here's hoping everyone will be able to go home soon. It was a sudden "drop everything, leave now" evacuation, which reminds me to look through the hurricane season emergency prep.

Sunday Evening OT

Looking a little more like November out there. I keep letting myself get sucked into the bird app when I should be doing my homework. Still, I've done some research, gone for coffee with Dad, got some chores and unpacking done, so all in all a good Sunday. How's it going?

And yet no bunny parking...

The Scariest Thing I Could Think Of

 Eek! It's empty!

This is from my favourite childhood Halloweenish book. It's a very helpful and slightly cheeky guide to witches.

Northern Turkey Eve OT

Good evening! Tomorrow is Thanksgiving Monday in Canadia, so I hope my fellow Canadians are lucky enough to have the day off, like this adorable, furry citizen.

Sunday Evening OT

I'm dedicating tonight's OT to one of my favourite trees. Fiona brought it down. 🙁 With winds up to 160 km/h, it's not surprising that so many trees came down. Many homes were destroyed, lots of electrical wires are down, and bridges and roads washed out. Thankfully there are few casualties or missing people, which is very lucky considering whole buildings were washed out by waves.

Sunday Night Skunk Ball

Assuming it doesn't get called due to rain, minor league playoffs continue this evening! I'll keep you updated on the skunk situation.

Sunday evening OT

After years of planning, and several pandemic closures, the museum  finally opened their new exhibit of Cambrian fossils from the Burgess Shale, and it has been worth the wait. The gallery is beautiful, the fossils are amazing, there's a full wall digital "aquarium" of trilobites and other creatures.
