Adventures in Domesticity

We had snow up top yesterday. Not a reference to my greying follicles as some surmised. The frosty stuff was in my garden as well and Tiddly was not impressed. Between being battered by hail and rain, it was rather cold - so naturally I had to work the freezer. Oh joy. The snow is still there today.

Soggy Saturday Stuff

Welcome to some weekend warbling. We've been washed away by heavy rain. The snow and the hail gave way to lots and lots of water.  Supposed to clear up later.

What ice cream did your cat have for breakfast?

Saturday already?

Pour yourself a Pisco Sour to go with that breakfast bowl of ice cream or frozen yoghurt (don't forget to cover it in Canadian Maple Syrup) which I hope you are eating with chopsticks. Today is all those days and more.

High flying Caturday OT! Bring your own hot air

It is Balloon Ascension Day, commemorating the first balloon flight in the US in 1793. George Washington was on hand to witness French aeronaut Jean Pierre Blanchard fly over Walnut Street Prison in Philadelphia. He was using hydrogen to inflate his balloon.  We had a hot air balloon at the Old Firm. It was blessed on the steps of St Paul's Cathedral, though weather scuppered the plan to inflate it that day. On other occasions, I was able to walk inside while it was inflating which is rather fun and I took the opportunity for a quick flight at Portsmouth one time (straight up, straight down). It was tethered and remarkably stable that day. Any balloonatics here?
