... and any other day she wants to talk about it  - in either English or Spanish - because she brings up all the things 

"the people whom they want to watch this and the people who they want to appeal to are not the ones who are complaining about it"

 

Everyone here also knows how often I pace around muttering things like

“this stuff is less about the policy than the psychology that drives the policy”

and “everybody in law and politics and the press ought to have mandated courses in psychology and psychopathology”

Daniele & Jared finally did that during their weekly post, offering the analogy that

“The Republican party are the abusers, the Democrats are the enablers, and people who want rights and freedoms are being branded 'radicals'”

 

What Danielle says about this cultural moment being a collective experience & not sitting in it alone -- in part bc it's the toxic individualism that has created a permission structure for the believability of what are actual lies being pushed by those w/hands on the levers of power that contravene actual facts -- really resonated 

What we want is normal and healthy and we are the majority, which is just a part of why the tiny minority (and I mean that both ways) is doing a freakout right now

And Jemele has a last message for the Angry Yellers --
