... and also how I had to drive through a shower of fireworks on a main road that was shooting in near proximity to both a fire station and a police station and I had to wonder how many people shooting them off were cousins of the officials and that's why nobody even seemed to bat an eye (& I had to check the top of the car once I got home to make sure it hadn't been scorched but that was something I couldn't do by pulling over right then on the side of the road bc I was nervous about getting out as I wasn't sure in our current environment I'd be able to get back in

That said -
we refuse to be devoid of joy bc in part bc we as humans deserve it and also bc that's what the terrorists want - so Naima wants to know in the wake of the weekend of food & fellowship as we move into summer what is on your playlist
