Back in 1954 RCA began production of the first color TV in the US market.  For 1000 dollars you got a just shy of 13 inch color screen that pretty much only showed color on a few shows a year like the Tournament of Roses Parade

Kind of insane how quickly TV's went from development to being in almost every home and now morphing into internet streaming tech,
