Gorgeous day today
where I was(though of course I wasn’t ready
- again – for the dip and then the leap in temperature) & thankful the rain didn’t fall on anyone
in Selma
I was caught between
two REALLY different sets of headlines
last night and today
I also heard
something I’d like to direct everyone’s attention to who felt like they might
not have had time to parse the national significance of what’s going on right
now in the American Confederate South
The woman in this
clip -- the Hear Me Out On This lady -- has something to say that I hope
everyone here has a minute (literally) to pay attention to
She has something to
say about Dr. Shola Mos-Shogbamimu and how she elucidates a particular theory
about shared self-interest (it’s Professor Derrick Bell’s theory – his name
isn’t mentioned here; I just happen to be familiar with his work as well)
I know Dr. Shola’s
teachings (and I bet there are also others here who do) - but this White lady
(who doesn’t give her name) had not heard of her before even though she was
sitting on this panel with her
Again – on this
nationally historic day I hope everyone can find just a few moments out of this
nice day to listen to what she has to say
so
