Today back in 1908, The Silent film Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde showed in Chicago for the first time. It is considered by some to be the first American Horror Film.
It was only 16 minutes long and based off of a 4 act stage play and not the book. Most movies since follow the movie and/or play version instead of the book. There has been a bunch of movies with the character but the version of the character I remember the most is from the movie "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" which I liked watching when it on heavy rotation on cable. The Dr kind of served as the League's version of the Hulk from the Avengers. The whole movie is basically The Avengers a decade before Marvel was making movies like that.
This concludes me having random memories about movies I saw on TBS's "A Dinner and A Movie". How's your day BackTalk?
