It’s your weekly Photo Gallery! Come on in, take a look at what people have been up to over the past week and share some of your own photos.
They don’t need to be taken with a fancy camera or works of art. Share any SFW photos you’ve taken with even the poorest of potatoes. Of course we love to see that arty stuff too.
A CHOO-CHOO! Don't know if anyone has been following, but a Union Pacific Big Boy was restored a few years and they decided to send it across the country for the 250th. I could not care less about the occasion for why they're doing it, I care because no one ever thought it would be in operation and no one ever thought it would make it to the east. It's only operated out west in both lives it has lived.
One of its stops was at a train museum not too far from me where one of its inoperative brothers sits on static display. Probably the first time they've been this close since being built in 1941 and probably the last time they ever will. I made damn sure to go see it. :D
Feel a little bad for some of the other locomotives that don't have the prestige of the Big Boy and will never see the care to preserve or restore them. But the rusty metal sure looks neat.
