I rewatched the first episode of Star Trek I had ever saw last night. The Squire of  Gothos. It feature the almost god like Trelane holding the Enterprise hostage for his own amusement.

Spoilers for an episode of the original series, in case your finally getting around to watching…

He’s actually a child of a alien super species and the parents make an appearance as green space crystals near the end…

They are all members of the Q from the Next Generation series.

Also it’s one of the episodes Futurama spoofed in their Star Trek Episode
