Well, hello. Let's see if I can make this work. I think I have this set to publish so the early risers on the East Coast of the US see it. We'll see. 

I'm just now realizing that I can no longer star an image to make it bigger, so I probably need to make adjustments to how I find images. 

How is everyone adjusting to our new home? I like many things about it. Though it will take some getting used to.

In real life, I am supposed to be going back to work today. However, in typical work fashion, they still have fucked up my VPN access that they've had two months to arrange and it won't be ready until next week. Next week is a better week to go back anyway. But still. Typical of them to leave me hanging.

How is everyone going, Tuesday-wise as well as Disqus/Blogspot-adaption-wise? I am still trying to figure out scheduling ahead so who knows when this'll show up (if it's at some cockamamie hour, I blame timebie.com, but as the photo shows, you never know what works until you try. Monday Evening Open Thread

 Greetings, nubloggers and fellow former Kinjans!  Welcome to our new home!  

As it is, I feel like I am standing in the doorway of our new home, anxious about whether or not I should be taking off my shoes, and hoping that I got the right address and that I haven't knocked on the wrong door by mistake.  I'm very new to this format and, being an Old, I expect that my learning curve will be a long and painful one.  Please have patience with your mrsfinch and send her virtual beers for encouragement.

Have at it in the comments, folks: I scheduled this thread ahead of time so if it even appears, let alone at the right time, I am counting it as a win.

Monday Morning Open Thread: A New Dawn

Rise and shine, Balkers, we have a new home, since I assume everything is now frozen over in Kinjaland. Let's kick the tyres on this thing and see if it works - let alone if I figured out the post-scheduling bit - if this shows up on Saturday evening, two days early, I'll try jiggling things and if all else fails just pretend it's not here til Monday morning. Or I'll just post a new one. There's gonna be some hiccups along the way. Also, OT time. Chat away, as we did in the (sob) Olden Days.
