It’s time for the weekly discussion thread!
Carrol Cloar, Halloween |
Hello, and happy Monday and/or Halloween/Samhain, all. Time to drag your old bones back to work, or wherever it is you go when you rise from the dead - er, bed.
What's the plan, Franken-stans? Are we playing dress-up? Gorging ourselves on sweet sweet noms? Or just being our usually dark and witchy selves?
Eek! It's empty!
This is from my favourite childhood Halloweenish book. It's a very helpful and slightly cheeky guide to witches.
They don’t need to be taken with a fancy camera or works of art. Share any SFW photos you’ve taken with even the poorest of potatoes. Of course we love to see that arty stuff too.
Hullo and welcome to the weekend or thereabouts, depending on your sittchamayshin. Two days to Halloween and I ain't got nothin' but a flop.
It's Friday, October 28th, 2022.

The leaves are falling outside my window as the seasons change - but the fur faces from last week's comments are here to keep us northern folks cozy with their heart-warming cuteness and keep our southern hemisphere pals cool with their chill attitudes!

Fear not, because tomorrow is Friday, and Friday we will be in love. With who or what I’m not one hundred percent sure about.
It’s the weekly discussion post. Every Monday there’s a new topic and a new chance to share our viewpoints and learn more about each other’s.
Hello and welcome to another week in the world. Time to get yourself pointed in the right direction to get something done.
Last's year's spooky stitching project.
Look who came to visit! It's Dandy! Or one of Dandy's pals. Very bold, too, and not at all bothered by me and Alice on the deck.
Packing, sorting, and more packing is what's happening for me. The big day is Friday! What are you up to this evening?

Good evening.
After more than a decade of sober political dramas and socially minded period pieces, the great Japanese director Masaki Kobayashi shifted gears dramatically for this rapturously stylized quartet of ghost stories. Featuring colorfully surreal sets and luminous cinematography, these haunting tales of demonic comeuppance and spiritual trials, adapted from writer Lafcadio Hearn’s collections of Japanese folklore, are existentially frightening and meticulously crafted. This version of Kwaidan is the original three-hour cut, never before released in the United States.
Like Canada, which is just a ginormous set for filming movies and television, I recently learned that birds aren't real.
This is very, very interesting and I have seen any of the main stream media covering this (not that I watch a lot of main stream media). Peter Zeihan, whose youtube channel I've been following brought this up about the U.S. putting a spoke in China's semiconductor industry. There are two videos a day apart that cover slightly different aspects of what's happening. He seems to know his stuff, from what I've seen of his videos.
For me the whole week seems like I'm already past Friday. Looking forward to actual Friday right now.
Hello and welcome to week #42 of 2022. I have a strange feeling there will be a lot of buzzing in my head today, but maybe some of my worries will buzz off with it.
This isn't Alice. Alice would never cooperate with dressing up or pumpkin perching.

Hullo and welcome to Saturday. This is a post, from which you might expound some words about your day. So yeah, do that.
Hello and yay Friday, everyone. Last week we slapped together a fine crew of handy dandy fur faces. This week it’s getting even closer to Halloween, so we’ll see if we can drum up some drama from a critter or two.
Hannibal went to visit a soliloquizing scaleface.

October 14th is National Dessert Day.
A day we can all support while arguing about which dessert is the best dessert.
It’s interview day for me. Sounds more like a formality than an actual interview, but still something odd to do for a job you already are doing.
