When I think back on the Kinjaverse (does it deserve a -verse? More like parts of Eastern Europe, esp. since it's been wiped off the map web. Wither Czechoslovakia? O Nick Denton, how goes the annihilation of Facebook?), I remember TotWs, CotDs, cross threads, discrete pockets of arcane knowledge. Mostly I remember scavvy's pop quizzes.

He has arrived, and as I waited for a name to come, figuring it would take days/weeks, it was clear ... a purr in my head, and ... Jo-Jo. Yeah, the connection to Lennon playing the same guitar on 'Get Back' is cool, but the main thing is tribute to my childhood bestie, a Siamese cat who decided I Was His Human, and guarded me through adolescence and the horrid bullied years of high school. It's the least I could do. As I was playing a maybe-too-loud-for-Nick no-headphones feedback crush of 'Revolution', I knew. Jo-Jo whispered in my ear across the ages. I could hear the purrs, feel the kneading on my chest like days of yore, and a Siamese cat in Heaven snuggling me and saying, 'dude'. Anyway, how's you? The world sucks. I've retreated to sonic heaven.
