I have been given basically a day's notice to fill out a schedule form, which I supposedly received as an attachment in my work email (the "form" is actually just a generic excel spreadsheet, with numbers down one side and letters across the top; it in no way resembles a schedule). Aaaand there was no deadline on the original email, and all of a sudden I get this email that the form is needed ASAP. I AM ON VACATION AND I'M GOING TO HAVE TO MAKE A SPECIAL GO IN TO WORK TO FILL OUT THIS FORM, WHICH ISN'T THE RIGHT FORM IN ANY CASE.

ReplyDeleteI was going to go in today, but that would have been a trip out that I hadn't planned, so I'm going to work it into errands I'm doing tomorrow. In addition, since the "schedule" form I was sent seems to be the wrong form, I have to talk to the supervisor about it, and they're not even in today! Somebody didn't plan well.

ReplyDeleteWhen I went in, I was told that I could have just sent an email to say "Let's maintain the status quo" (which is what I want), and that going in was not necessary, but that was not communicated as an option in any way.
