Have a belting Beltane, Batman!

It's Batman Day. Does that mean it is a Utility Beltane? Blessed be.

We have elections for the Welsh Assembly and Police Commissioner coming on Thursday. Similar elections are being held in Scotland and London gets to vote on the Mayor. The Assembly elections have the potential to be a weird affair. The Pandemic effect is in play, the main parties all have their own compromising scandals and we have an assortment of loonies, mainly UKIPy factions, that might get a seat at the table without having actual candidates. One party aims to abolish the Assembly altogether. Maintaining the status quo might be a safe result.

Talking of London Mayors. We have a family story that one of my forebears was set to become Lord Mayor of London but died the night before taking office. I have never conformed the veracity of that story. Still, I was saddened to read that Zulu Queen Mantfombi Dlamini has passed away, a month after she became regent.

Scaggy gets a home. (For all the points, who came from Ulverston?)

Minster cat statue unveiled.

RIP Badger the Cat.

Wally gets the horn.

Great-horned babies take flight.

Pros and cons of multi-tasking.

I'm looking forward to the finale of Line of Duty tomorrow night. Anything you are waiting for in anticipation?
