SERENA WILLIAMS TO
RETURN TO WTA TOUR AND PLAY DOUBLES AT QUEEN'S CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS IN LONDON
WITH VICTORIA MBOKO
!!!
Thank you, Reuters! Thank you, Carl! Thank you, Victoria!
I don’t know about
you all, but the slop and the crazy in the world are starting to seep into my
dreams – so I have to be disciplined about journaling in order to get it out
(plus the computers
and printers in the house are doing the absolute weirdest things – I have no
idea what they’re doing and the person I usually call to help me straighten it
all out is out of town)
We can absolutely
talk about some of the slop and the crazy in comments – that’s one reason why
we’re here, and most of us are in the thick of at least one version of them or
another and usually several (intersectionality FTW and may the gods bless
Professors Crenshaw and Bell forever for coining the term for us and making it
their lives’ work to get the world to understand what it means and why it
matters if the human race is going to progress instead of, you know, DEVOLVE) --
but one of the other
things wanna-be authoritarians like to do is to try to snuff out hope, try to stop people from imagining things could be any different, try
to convince all of us that things can’t be other way than the way they try to
present, all other contradictory evidence to the contrary
And I’m stubborn
enough that there is absolutely no way I’m going out like that and I’m willing
to bet I’m not the only one
YIL that Seth Meyers’
brother-in-law directed Rafa’s documentary, and I could not be more tickled
Also great goodness - how could I forget
As I said - computer right now is doing absolutely weird stuff, so from the usual suspects
"What's a great song from a singer who has an unusual or distinctive voice?"
